IPGuard DMI

Dimethyl isosorbide. IPGuard DMI by Ishant Polychem is a solvent and penetration enhancer. It reduces its barrier function, allowing for better absorption of vitamins, antioxidants, and other active compounds. It is used for sunscreens, anti-aging products, cosmetic and pharmaceutical formulations. It is recognized for its non-irritating properties and is commonly found in products designed to be gentle on the skin.

• It boosts the effectiveness of active ingredients such as retinol, vitamin C, and salicylic acid, increasing their potency in addressing skin issues like wrinkles, acne, and hyperpigmentation.
• It is biodegradable and considered a more sustainable alternative to synthetic solvents derived from plant-based sorbitol.
• It is present in 5% of cosmetics like anti-aging 30-40%, acne treatment 20-30%, sunscreens 5-25%, serums 25-35%, moisturizers and creams 10-20%, hair care products 5-10% and makeup primers and foundations 10-15%.
