HALLSTAR® OCTYL ISONONANOATE

Ethylhexyl Isononanoate. HALLSTAR® OCTYL ISONONANOATE by Hallstar is an anti-caking/anti-agglomeration agent, detackifying agent, emollient and resin plasticizer. It is the reaction product of isononanoic acid and 2-ethylhexanol. This biodegradable ingredient offers feel modification/enhancement. Its branched nature imparts a low viscosity as well as low freeze point, making it useful for reducing the tackiness of heavier oils and so enhancing finished product feel (making it softer, drier, and/or less oily). HALLSTAR® OCTYL ISONONANOATE is used in antiperspirants, depilatories, eye area & facial color cosmetics, facial cleansers, facial skin care, foot care, hair conditioners, hand & body care and self-tanners.
