Heptylglycerin. dermosoft® Heptyl MB by Evonik is a cold-processable, multifunctional antimicrobial agent. It is 100% based on renewable carbon sources and has a unique, efficiency-optimized structure which is easy to use at a low dosage. It offers body odor control, improved pigment wetting and co-emulsifying properties. Exhibits pH independent performance and fast processing for higher production capacities. It is easy to handle at room temperature. It is suitable for emulsions, aqueous systems and surfactant-based products. dermosoft® Heptyl MB finds application in formulating antiperspirants & deodorants, color cosmetics, skin cleansing, wet wipes, hair-, skin- and sun care products. It is readily biodegradable and cand be used as a natural-based replacement for ethylhexylglycerin.
