Hydrogenated Polyisobutene. FANCOL® POLYISO® 250-CG by Elementis is a non-animal origin, waterproofing agent for cosmetics and toiletries. It can be used as a substitute for mineral oil. It is a long chain aliphatic hydrocarbon. It is stable over a wide pH range. It offers shine and lubricity. FANCOL® POLYISO® 250-CG is used in decorative cosmetics, lipsticks, hair relaxers, hair styling aids, creams, lotions, sunscreen, shave preparations, antiperspirants, setting gels and sprays. It can be formulated with the other FANCOL® POLYISO® CG products to supply an average molecular weight between 200 and 1400. The shelf life of this grade is 3 years.
