CHITOWALL 800™

Chitosan. CHITOWALL 800™ by Chitelix acts as an emulsifier and stabilizer, humectant and moisturizing agent. Derived from crustacean shells (marine origin). It is a high molecular weight, partially deacetylated chitin (natural polysaccharide). It is characterized by high viscosity and strong film-forming capacity, designed for dermocosmetic formulations requiring durable structural performance and long-lasting protective effects.

• Its polymer architecture enables the formation of cohesive, semi-occlusive films that enhance barrier function, reduce transepidermal water loss (TEWL).
• It improves rheological stability, and provide sustained conditioning and surface protection.
• It forms a continuous film that reinforces the skin barrier, improves moisture retention, and enhances skin softness and texture, making it suitable for creams, masks, and protective or moisture-locking formulations.
• It delivers intensive conditioning by coating the hair fiber, improving strength, manageability, shine, and providing long-lasting frizz control.
• With high substantivity, strong surface residence, and acid-soluble behavior with slow dissolution kinetics, CHITOWALL 800™ is suitable for barrier-reinforcing skincare systems, structured emulsions and gels, dense film-forming masks, repair treatments.
• It is also suitable for long-wear styling formulations requiring stability, protection, and controlled performance.
