Benzyl Alcohol (and) Xylitol (and) Caprylic Acid. Hebeatol® BA by Chemyunion acts as an antimicrobial agent. It is a synergistic combination of functional ester of xylitol with broad-spectrum antimicrobial benzyl alcohol. It might be compatible with polymeric systems depending on the formula. It aids reducing or eliminating the use of controversial preservatives, such as, parabens, donors of formaldehyde and methyl isothiazolinone (MIT). Hebeatol® BA is recommended for use in skin care product such as emulsions, gels and serums.
