Andisil® SF 500

Dimethicone. Andisil® SF 500 by AB Specialty Silicones is a mid viscosity, non-reactive, polydimethyl siloxane. In hair care products, it offers active carrier, anti-frizz and conditioning benefits. Also, displays low build up and soft/suppler feel properties. It is suitable for dry and damaged hair. Also, improves texture and dry & wet combing. It provides water resistance and improved spreading of actives without weighing the hair down, even at high molecular weights due to the low surface tension of silicones. In skin care products, it displays film forming, cushion, lubrication, moisturizing, skin protectant, tack reduction, water repellency and wash-off resistance. It is suitable for clear formulations. It is recommended to add silky smoothness to hair care formulations. Andisil® SF 500 is used in creams & lotions, shampoos, leave-in & rinse-off conditioners, styling treatment, antiperspirant/deodorant, cleansers, color cosmetics, serums and sun care applications. The shelf life of this ingredient is 12 months.
