Cosmetics & Personal Care Formulations with Dispersants

Performance Economy Shampoo delivers a pleasing slippery feel and combability to wet hair. Sensomer™ 10M conditioning polymer provides smooth feel and Glucamate™ LT thickener increases the viscosity of the formula without the addition of salt. Quickpearl™ EGL pearlizing agent contributes an elegant pearlescent appearance. Carbopol® Ultrez 20 polymer decreases processing time, due to its fast dispersion, and contributes to the stability of the formulation. A formulation by Lubrizol.

The blend of oils and zinc oxide provides a highly emollient product which helps to manage dry skin conditions in infants. Volpo L3 Special is an effective dispersant for the zinc oxide which, helps to protect the baby's skin.

UV Hand Lotion has Zinc Oxide dispersion GC70MZCSG and Titanium Dioxide dispersion HBTN55TIS-EU to give broad spectrum protection.

• Nusil's CES-1104 is an encapsulated elastomer gel that can be added to the water phase or post emulsification. Upon application the encapsulated CES materials break and offer an initial refreshing feel that is followed by a velvety silicone after feel. 
• CPF-3300@10cSt and CSF-3100@20cSt, are silicone fluids that can improve spreadability and the formula's feel upon application. 
• Microspheres MST- 547 and MSS-500/20N add soft focus to the formula and a nice feel when applied. 
• SunBoost ATB™, a proprietary blend of antioxidant, anti-irritant and anti-inflammatory agents, will help boost SPF and give skin care claims. 
• Glycosphere Gs-GT Green tea extract, is a free-radical scavenger for anti-inflammatory properties.

Elegant W/O sunscreen that uses Kobo's Titanium Dioxide Dispersion, TNP50T7, and Kobo's Zinc Oxide Dispersion, TNP65FZS. MSS-500W. Spherical Silica gives slip during application and reduces shine on the skin. SF1214 is used to enhance feel during application.

Pearl Hair Shampoo is a mild shampoo based on natural concept. It contains:

• Recrystallized Amihope LL concentrate which provides a natural pearlescent effect and improves conditioning property of the shampoo.
• Amisoft CS-22 acts as a natural cleansing surfactant.

In sensory tests, the shampoo with AMIHOPE LL is perceived as better performing in terms of foamability, finger-through during washing, hair smoothness and detangling property during rinse.

Preparation of recrystallized Amihope LL concentrate:
When AMIHOPE LL is precipitated in a surfactant solution the particle size tends to be smaller and the dispersing the LL in a liquid cleansing formulation is easier. This AMIHOPE LL concentrate is stable, suitable as a premix for various preparations.

This thickening, waterproof mascara features Kobo's Carbon Black dispersion, PMLVP20CB, which gives a deep, intense black color. The dispersion eliminates the need for milling of Carbon Black (Black 2) and contributes to an ease in manufacturing. Lucentite SAN-P is a synthetic clay thickener that gels the solvents. Koboguard® 5400 IDD gives a waterproof film, while SP-10 helps the mascara glide on the lashes and adds volume.
