Sodium Peg-7 Olive Oil Carboxylate acts as a gentle cleanser, surfactant, and foaming agent in cosmetics. It helps blend oil and water-based ingredients in a formulation to form stable and long-lasting products. On the skin and scalp, it mixes water with oil and dirt to rinse them off effortlessly. What is SODIUM PEG-7 OLIVE OIL CARBOXYLATE used for?

Sodium Peg-7 Olive Oil Carboxylate is a mild ingredient that is both oil- and water-loving. It is perfect for cleansing, emulsifying, and skin conditioning and is widely used in both skin and hair care. It is especially prized in formulations for sensitive skin and dry hair, where mildness and hydration are essential.

For skin: Sodium PEG-7 Olive Oil Carboxylate is commonly used in facial cleansers, body washes, micellar water, baby care, and intimate washes. It gently removes dirt and oil without stripping the skin’s natural barrier, thanks to its olive-oil base and PEG modification. Unlike harsh surfactants (like sulfates), it leaves behind a soft, hydrated feel.

For hair: In hair care, Sodium PEG-7 Olive Oil Carboxylate cleans the scalp and hair without over-drying and enhances the creamy texture of formulations. It is best for curly, dry, or damaged hair where moisture retention is essential. It also fights off dandruff and prevents recurrence.

Origin

Sodium Peg-7 Olive Oil Carboxylate is derived from olive oil, which is first hydrolyzed to release fatty acids. These fatty acids are reacted with ethylene oxide and then carboxylated. The resulting carboxylic acid is neutralized with sodium hydroxide to form the sodium salt - Sodium Peg-7 Olive Oil Carboxylate.
