A-C® 1375 by Solstice Advanced Materials is a low-density polyethylene (LDPE) homopolymer stabilized with antioxidant. It improves surface properties such as rub, mar and abrasion resistance by lowering the COF. It is used to coat silica or other fillers. A-C® 1375 is used in solvent borne coatings, heatset and liquid solvent borne inks. A-C® 9A by Honeywell acts as an anti-blocking, rub and slip control additive. It is a low density polyethylene (LDPE) homopolymer. It improves surface properties such as rub-, mar- & abrasion resistance, by lowering the coefficient of friction. It is designed for use in solvent-borne coatings, heat-set and liquid solvent-borne inks. A-C® 9A is suitable for indirect food contact applications. A-C® 617 by Solstice Advanced Materials is a low-density polyethylene (LDPE) homopolymer. It improves surface properties such as rub-, mar- and abrasion resistance, by lowering the coefficient of friction (COF). Designed for use in solvent borne coatings, heat-set and liquid solvent borne inks. A-C® 617 is FDA approved. It is listed in TSCA, DSL, CEPA, TCCL, Japan inventory, Philippines inventory, IECSC and NZIoC. A-C® 392 by Honeywell is a hard, high drop point, high density, oxidized polyethylene (HDOxPEs) homopolymer powder (granules). It improves surface properties including mar- and abrasion resistance by lowering the coefficient of friction. This grade has an acid number of 30, hence can be emulsified into water. A-C® 392 is suitable for use in water borne coatings and inks, overprint varnishes and polishes. It complies with FDA regulations. A-C® 1089 by Solstice Advanced Materials is a high melt temperature, lower viscosity, hard polypropylene (PP) homopolymer. Acts as an excellent internal lubricant. A-C® 1089 is used in paint coatings and inks. A-C® 5150 by Solstice Advanced Materials is an ethylene acrylic acid (EAA) copolymer with high acid number and relatively low hardness. It is used in coatings to increase the adhesion and tack of the final formulated product. A-C® 5150 is also used to help dispersion of pigments, fibers, flame retardants and other additives into plastics. This product is FDA approved. A-C® 395 by Solstice Advanced Materials is a hard, high-density oxidized polyethylene homopolymer grade with high drop point. Designed to improve surface properties including mar and abrasion resistance by lowering the coefficient of friction. It is used in polishes, overprint varnishes, water borne coatings and inks. It has an acid number of 41, which allows it to be readily emulsified into water. A-C® 395 is approved with FDA. A-C® 656 by Solstice Advanced Materials is a low-density oxidized polyethylene (LDOxPE) homopolymer. Used in solvent-borne coatings as a rheological aid. It has a low hardness which makes it optimum for pourable or pumpable rheological dispersions. A-C® 656 can also be atmospherically emulsified for use in aqueous applications like coatings and inks, to lower the COF and provide surface properties such as mar & abrasion resistance and increased slip. It is an indirect FDA approved grade. A-C® 9 by Solstice Advanced Materials is a low-density polyethylene (LDPE) homopolymer. It improves surface properties such as rub, mar & abrasion resistance, by lowering the coefficient of friction. A-C® 9 is used in solvent-borne coatings, heat set and liquid solvent-borne inks. A-C® 5135 by Solstice Advanced Materials is an ethylene acrylic acid (EAA) copolymer with high acid number and high drop point. It is used in coatings (slip and non-slip) and inks (non-skid) to increase the adhesion and tack of the final formulated product. It controls rheology and viscosity. It is also used to help dispersion of pigments, fibers, flame retardants and other additives into plastics. A-C® 5135 is FDA indirect approved grade.
