Ethyl Proxitol™ by Shell Chemicals is a colorless, hygroscopic and high performance oxygenated chemical solvent. It is based on propylene glycol monoethyl ether. It is a slow evaporating solvent and exhibits complete miscibility in water. It offers good gloss and film forming properties. It provides good solvency for a wide variety of resins including acrylic, epoxies, polyesters, nitrocellulose and polyurethanes. It is designed for high & low solid coatings, waterborne emulsions and water-reducible coatings. Ethyl Proxitol™ is used in automotive, industrial maintenance, architectural, aerospace and specialty paints. Other applications include flexographic, screen printing and offset printing inks.
LAWS (Low Aromatic White Spirit) by Shell Chemicals is a hydrodesulphurization straight-run hydrocarbon solvent. It contains 18% aromatic content. LAWS (Low Aromatic White Spirit) is chemically stable and non-corrosive and possess a mild odor.
