The polyhydric alcohols used are ethylene glycol, di-propylene glycol, di-ethylene glycol, and glycerol. Sucrose is also used as polyhydric alcohol in the preparation of polyether polyols for the production of polyurethane. Sucrose is also used as polyhydric alcohol in the preparation of polyether polyols for the production of polyurethane.
