EMPEYOL R 400/ 2R400 by Manali Petrochemicals is a sorbitol/sucrose/amine/glycerin/glycol based rigid polyol. It is manufactured by ethoxylation or propoxylation of a polyhydric alcohol in the presence of a catalyst. The polyhydric alcohols used are ethylene glycol, di-propylene glycol, di-ethylene glycol, and glycerol. Sucrose is also used as polyhydric alcohol in the preparation of polyether polyols for the production of polyurethane.
