Crys-Talc® 2HC

by Magris Performance Materials

Crys-Talc® 2HC by Magris Performance Materials is a high brightness, high purity, platy, coarse talc, which is recommended for improving stiffness, HDT and dimensional stability in polymers.

It also improves exterior durability and barrier properties in architectural primers, topcoats, traffic paints, texture paints and composite compounds.

It can be used as a flux for high alumina ceramics and sanitary ware.

Crys-Talc® 2HC is an excellent fluxing and processing additive for brick, clay pipe, roofing and floor tile manufacture, and low iron content makes it the appropriate choice for better firing color performance.

Crys-Talc® 4HC

by Magris Performance Materials

Crys-Talc® 4HC by Magris Performance Materials is a high purity, high brightness, platy, medium size talc used in interior and exterior coating formulations to reduce hard settling; improve sag resistance and maximize prime pigment extension.

It is used in solid color and semitransparent wood stains to prevent tannin bleed and improve gloss uniformity without introducing abrasive characteristics.

It has a platy, hydrophobic structure used in architectural and industrial primers to improve barrier properties which impart corrosion resistance and stain blocking ability.

It can also be used in polymer applications for improving stiffness, HDT, and dimensional stability in natural color applications requiring higher brightness.

It may also be used in rigid packaging, appliances, and thermoformed products to increase the modulus of elasticity, modulus of rupture, and HDT.

It helps reduce water diffusion, weight gain, swelling in water, loss of elasticity, and rupture modulus in moist environments.

Crys-Talc® 4HC also improves warpage resistance, creep resistance, dimensional stability, and elastic recovery.
