80% aqueous solution of a non-ionic dispersant mixed with low molecular weight polyols. Improves the re-dispersibility of pigment pastes in polar liquid media. Offers improved humectancy over propylene glycol. Provides a more environmentally friendly alternative to traditional glycols due to its minimal VOC content. Used for water-based paint, ink and pigment pastes. Humectant® GRB4 by Lubrizol is a low-VOC humectant. It is designed to improve the tip drying, open time and redispersibility of agglomerates in water-based pigment pastes, paints, coatings and inks. It offers enhanced humectancy over propylene glycol, freeze thaw stability, color strength and compatibility of dispersions. Humectant® GRB4 can be stored for 1 year. The recommended dosage level is maximum 5% in the final coating. Humectant® GRB3 by Lubrizol is a solution of low molecular weight polyols. It is a VOC free humectant designed to improve the re-dispersibility of the pigment pastes in polar liquid media. It reduces the drying time for certain specific wet-edge applications when used at higher dosage levels. It can be used during dispersion to help improve open time and freeze/thaw stability. Recommended for water-based inks, paints and pigment pastes. Humectant® GRB3 has a shelf life of 1 year with a dosage level of 5%.
