Methylal by Lambiotte & Cie is a dimethoxymethane based solvent. The acetal molecule is either linear or cyclic with regard to their toxicity and ecotoxicity. It exhibits high solvent power, medium to low polarity surface tension and low to high evaporation rate. Methylal is used for inks and coatings.
