Ethylal

Diethoxymethane (DEM) or Ethoxymethyl ethyl ether. Has high solvent power (Kb value: 120), helps reduce surface tension and is an ideal replacement for MEK. It is produced from minimum 80 % agricultural ethyl alcohol.

1,3-dioxacyclopentane. The acetal molecule is either linear or cyclic. With regard to their toxicity and ecotoxicity these acetals show a very good profiles for health and environment. Exhibits high solvent power, medium to low polarity/surface tension and low to high evaporation rate. Used in inks and coatings.
