VIVAPUR® Pectin LA-S20 VIS-YA (LA for low methoxyl amidated pectin) by JRS Rettenmaier acts as rheology modifier and gelling agent. It is a natural and versatile hydrocolloid consisting of a brownish powder in the dry state. The product is based on extracts of citrus fruit peel. From watery solutions with Ca2+ and higher valent ions thermal irreversible gels can be formed. The versatile biopolymer is suitable for coating applications with food contact. The minimum shelf life of VIVAPUR® Pectin LA-S20 VIS-YA is 24 months. Complies with (EU) No. 231/2012. VIVAPUR® Pectin LC-S18XH (LC for low methoxyl conventional pectin) by JRS Rettenmaier is a natural and versatile hydrocolloid. It can act as rheology modifier and gelling agent. It is a brownish powder extracted from the cell walls of higher plants like citrus fruit peels. The slightly viscous solution can be used together with Ca2+ and higher valent ions to form thermal irreversible gels. The versatile biopolymer is also suitable for food coating applications. The minimum shelf life of VIVAPUR® Pectin LC-S18XH is 24 months.
