OptiMat® 2550

OptiMat® 2550 by Imerys is a specially formulated, natural mineral additive designed as a matting agent in decorative paints. It is effective as little as 3% by weight in a matt formulation and gives 85° sheen below 1.0%. This fine particle size grade offers smooth surface texture to low-loaded coatings. It provides high paint whiteness and increased mudcrack resistance. Mineral hardness of OptiMat® 2550 contributes to excellent burnish- and scratch resistance.

OptiMat® 2040

by Imerys

OptiMat® 2040 by Imerys is a natural mineral products with low crystalline silica content. Acts as an ultra-efficient matting agent for deep matt decorative paints. It is specially selected crude ore is refined and engineered, giving a product with a tight particle size distribution and characteristically shaped particles. This 3D structure results in highly diffuse light scattering, which translates to very low gloss and sheen levels in a coating. Possesses ultra-high matting efficiency, smooth surface texture, very good burnish and mar resistance, high paint whiteness, and good mudcrack resistance. It exhibits low density. OptiMat® 2040 is used for very low sheen deep matt finishes.
