Atomite® Star by Imerys is a median particle size, ground calcium carbonate designed for water- & solvent based paints and industrial coatings. Exhibits top cut mesh retention, high brightness, enhanced opacity, improved rheological & mechanical properties and weathering resistance. Atomite® Star is designed to meet the low crystalline silica needs of environment friendly paint products. Suitable for use in glossy architectural paints, undercoats & primers, road marking paints and printing inks. Recommended for semi-gloss, eggshell, interior & exterior matte architectural applications, metal primers and powder coatings. Atomite® is a fine particle size, wet ground white calcitic marble. It is supplied in dry form as a free flowing powder by Imerys. Exhibits high whiteness, closely controlled particle size and ease of dispersion. Used in water- and solvent-based coatings.
