HALOX® 680

HALOX® 680 by ICL is a VOC-free, non-flammable, smart release anticorrosive pigment which releases a heterocyclic organic corrosion inhibitor from an organic matrix that adsorbs on the metal surface and forms a protective film. It offers decreased cathodic delamination (undercutting) and improves cut edge protection. <ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li>It is jet milled grade that provides increased intercoat coating adhesion and prevents osmotic blistering. It reduces cost by lowering zinc phosphate loading.</li> <li>It acts synergistically with other corrosion inhibitors such as zinc phosphate, Z-PLEX 111, SZP-391, HALOX® 430 and Zn-free phosphates.</li> <li>It can be formulated into solvent-based, high solid-, and powder coatings.</li> <li>It is suitable for solvent-based primers & DTM alkyds, acrylics, water-based epoxies and urethanes, high solids and 100% solids, semi-gloss paints and coil coatings.</li> <li>The dosage level of HALOX® 680 as a stand-alone corrosion inhibitor or as an adhesion promoter is 1-2% based on total formula weight (TFW).</li> <li>When used in synergy with standard zinc phosphate the loading level of the product is typically 0.5-4% on total formula weight (TFW).</li></ul>

HALOX® FLASH-X® 152 by ICL is an ultra-low-VOC flash rust inhibitor based on anodic passivating oxyanion. It is effective in preventing general flash rusting and weld seam corrosion. It is a blend of strontium and zinc phosphosilicates. HALOX® FLASH-X® 150 by ICL is used in the manufacture of water-based protective coatings as an effective liquid additive for inhibition of flash rust and in-can rusting. It is highly effective at relatively low loading levels as compared to other flash and in-can rust inhibitors. <ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li> It has demonstrated excellent flash rust inhibitive performance on various metal substrates ranging from iron, steel, and galvanized iron to galvalume and zincalume. </li> <li>It is effective for inhibiting in-can rusting in lined and unlined metal containers. </li> <li>It is compatible with a variety of latices without causing film sensitivity or package stability problems that can occur with other flash rust additives. </li> <li>It is also an effective additive for stabilizing metal substrates when using the water-blasting method of surface restoration. </li> <li>It is easy to use and can be incorporated at any stage of coating manufacture. </li> <li>It can also be easily and effectively post added to any coating system; however, as with any additive, compatibility should be checked prior to use. </li> <li>Recommended dosage level is 0.25-1% for flash rusting, 0.50-1.5% for in can rusting and 1.50-3% for water blasting.</li> <li>HALOX® FLASH-X® 150 has a shelf life of 24 months.</li></ul>
