Glycerol abietate. FLORAREZ™ G85-FG is a food grade glycerol ester of gum rosin. It is a pale colored thermoplastic resin. Exhibits low acid number, superior taste and odor characteristics. Used as a resin component in various inks, lacquers and coatings applications. Complies with 21 CFR 73.1, 21 CFR 172.735, 21 CFR 175.105, 21 CFR 175.125, 21 CFR 175.300, 21 CFR 175.320, 21 CFR 175.390, 21 CFR 176.210, 21 CFR 177.1210, and 21 CFR 177.2600. Polymerized rosin. It exhibits high quality and consistency. The polymerization processing results in elevated softening points while maintaining the acid functionality of rosin. This rosin is pale, thermoplastic, polar, and crystallization-resistant, and is less prone to oxidation than unmodified rosin. It provides adhesion to a variety of substrates.
