Nalzin® FA 179 by Elementis is a corrosion inhibitor for aqueous paint systems to counteract the formation of flash-rust. It is also suitable for application as an inhibitor against the formation of in-can corrosion and temporary rust inhibitor for metal surfaces.

It can be applied to various types of water-dilutable alkyd systems, acrylics, epoxy and dispersion paints.

The typical use level is 0.1-0.5% calculated on the total amount of paint.

Nalzin® FA 179 has a shelf life of 3 years from the date of manufacture.

Nalzin® FA 180 by Elementis is a flash-rust corrosion inhibitor designed for aqueous paint systems. It prevents the formation of flash rust during the drying process on iron-containing substrates. It is based on an organic zinc complex with a low nitrite addition.

It exhibits a strong affinity for iron substrates, forming a protective anionic passivated layer after drying.

It provides corrosion resistance and improved weathering properties.

During the drying process, it transforms from a water-dispersible form into a non-water-dispersible, insoluble zinc compound and reducing water sensitivity.

It is suitable for various water-dilutable paint systems such as alkyds, acrylics, epoxies, and dispersion paints.

It enhances the rust resistance of the dried paint layer and acts as an in-can corrosion inhibitor during storage.

Additionally, it can be used as a temporary rust inhibitor for metal surfaces when applied as a 2% emulsion through spraying, offering reliable protection against early rust formation after paint application.

Recommended dosage level is 0.1-0.5% as flash-rust inhibitor and 0.1-0.3% as in-can corrosion inhibitor.

Nalzin® FA 180 has a shelf life of 2 years from date of manufacturing.

Nalzin® FA 579 by Elementis is a nitrite-free liquid corrosion inhibitor for aqueous coatings and counteracts flash rusting and can-corrosion, emulsified in water it can also used as a temporary rust inhibitor. Also used as a temporary rust inhibitor for metal surfaces, for this application it is recommended to spray the metal surface with a 2% Nalzin® FA 579 emulsion.

It is used in various aqueous coating and metal primers.

It is compatible with most dispersion types including polyacrylics, polyvinylacetates, polystyrene acrylics and terpolymers, with waterborne alkyds and aqueous stoving enamels.

Nalzin® 2 by Elementis is zinc hydroxy phosphate used as an anticorrosive pigment to manufacture anticorrosive paints for industrial maintenance and trade sales market. It suits for use in solvent and water based paints. It offers very good pigmentary properties, rapid and clean dispersion, high gloss, long shelf stability and flexibility in formulating and production. Nalzin® 2 minimizes tendency of latex paints to flash rust. Nalzin® FA 379 by Elementis is a is nitrite-free most effective liquid corrosion inhibitor for waterborne coatings. It is a specially formulated film-forming inhibitor based on an organic zinc complex and a nitrogen compound. The strong affinity of its molecules with iron substrates guarantees an immediate corrosion inhibition action as soon as the paint is applied. Nalzin® FA 379 is applied in aqueous coatings to fight rusting during manufacture, during storage and as the paint is applied for permanent corrosion inhibition of the coating.
