Eastman Solus™ 1100 food contact by Eastman is a cellulose ester-based performance additive. It provides reduced surface tack, improved flow, and good UV stability. It enables lower solution viscosities with the lowest glass transition temperature (Tg) in the cellulose acetate butyrate portfolio. <br> <ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li>The relatively low molecular weight supports compatibility with other formulation components, including a wide range of cross-linking resins and curing resin systems. </li> <li>It delivers stunning colors, high print throughput, and durable graphics, all while protecting the safety of end-users. </li> <li>It is designed to deliver on the high performance expectations required of ink formulations.</li> <li>Eastman Solus™ 1100 food contact is used in flexographic, gravure, inkjet, screen, and UV printing inks, as well as in overprint varnishes and general-purpose inks. </li> <li>It is also suitable for packaging inks intended for food contact and for internal food can coatings.</li> <li>It meets requirements for use in certain food contact applications under regulations of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (21 CFR), European Commission (Regulation 10/2011) and the Switzerland Ordinance of the FDHA on materials and articles intended to come into contact with foodstuffs (817.023.21, Annex 10). </li></ul>
