Eastman Solus™ 1175 food contact by Eastman is a bio-based, low-odor, free-flowing performance additive. It provides stunning colors, high print throughput, flawless finishes, and durable graphics, all while protecting the safety of end-users. It is based on cellulose, one of Earth's most abundant natural renewable resources.

• UV-cured films formed from Eastman Solus™ 1175 food contact exhibit fast solvent release, excellent anti-blocking properties, and grease resistance superior to that of other film-formers.
• It is designed to deliver on the high performance expectations required of ink and metal packaging formulations.
• It is suitable for use in UV printing inks, packaging inks food contact, UV clear overprint varnishes and UV metal packaging coatings.
• It meets requirements for use in certain food contact applications under regulations of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (21 CFR), European Commission (Regulation 10/2011) and the Switzerland Ordinance of the FDHA on materials and articles intended to come into contact with foodstuffs (817.023.21, Annex 10).
