Chromalene® DR 3539-4 by Cheng Feng Pigments is a pearlescent pigment composition using double refraction of certain inorganic pigments with particle size of 5 to 25 µm. It has silvery white, soft & bright pearl like appearance. It is prepared for imparting diffractive nature in simulating pearly effect for producing optical reflectivity as metals. It offers light fastness, heat resistance, acid and alkali resistance. It exhibits insulative and easy to disperse and non-migratory characters. Chromalene® DR 3539-4 is used in paints and inks. Its recommended concentration in paints is 1-10% when spray, dipping or electrostatic imprints are used and higher concentration of about 2-10% in powder coating. Its recommended dosage is 10 to 20% by weight in inks. Expancel® Microspheres is a lightweight filler and blowing agent product range from Nouryon. The range consists of expandable, microscopic spheres comprising a thermoplastic shell encapsulating a gas. Expancel® Microspheres can significantly reduce the weight of a product while creating the look and feel needed for an attractive product.
As a lightweight filler, it can achieve very low densities. Applications utilizing it as a blowing agent include shoe soles, wine corks (plastic and agglomerated), food packaging, etc. As a blowing agent, Expancel® Microspheres deliver many essential benefits, including a fine cellular foam structure, outstanding stability during processing, shorter cycle times, and an attractive surface finish.
