SpectrAl® 51

SpectrAl® 51 by Cabot is fumed alumina with a low surface area and high purity. It is characterized by high purity, aggregated structure, submicron particle size, low bulk density, positive surface charge. It provides excellent gloss, color gamut, coating transparency, and water fastness. It enhances the durability of polyurethane clearcoats. The addition of the hard alumina particles imparts excellent scratch and abrasion resistance to the coating. SpectrAl® 51 is also suitable for use in microporous coatings for inkjet printable media.

CAB-O-SPERSE® 2020K by Cabot is electrostatically stabilized, dispersant-free fumed silica for water-based systems. It exhibits excellent corrosion resistance, high absorptive capacity, fast drying characteristics, good substrate adhesion, excellent image quality and gloss. The silica particles in CAB-O-SPERSE® 2020K aqueous dispersion are stabilized with potassium hydroxide and negatively charged. It offers easier flow control and increased throughput leading to shorter cycle time.
