GARAMITE® -7305

GARAMITE® -7305 by BYK is an organophilic phyllosilicates-based rheology additive. Acts as a dispersing agent. It increases the storage stability and sag resistance. It disperses very easily into oils or solvents with only moderate shear. It offers very high low-shear viscosity, outstanding ant-settling and anti-syneresis properties. Recommended dosage level of GARAMITE® -7305 is 0.5-2%. Designed for medium-polar and polar solvent-borne & solvent-free architectural, protective and industrial applications. It has a shelf life of 60 months.

GARAMITE® 1210

GARAMITE® 1210 by BYK is an organically modified, proprietary blend of minerals. Provides anti-sag performance on vertical surfaces, viscosity control, moderate shear, short dispersion times, high efficiency, thixotropy, relatively high bulk density, low dustiness, versatility of addition, ease of incorporation and anti-settling of pigments. Offers syneresis prevention and gel time stability. It is used as a rheological additive in coatings using unsaturated polyesters, epoxies and vinyl esters.

GARAMITE® -1958

GARAMITE® -1958 by BYK is a rheological additive for solvent-borne systems. Compared to fumed silica and organoclays, it provides improved sag (drainage) resistance, control of settling, metallic orientation and stability. It is also more efficient and easier to handle in manufacturing (less dusty, higher bulk density and not sensitive to shear). Due to its patented mixed mineral thixotrope technology, the additive provides these properties at lower viscosities than are seen with conventional thixotropes. GARAMITE® -1958 exhibits dispersion ease, viscosity stability, shear stable, syneresis prevention, gel time stability and increased efficiency. Recommended dosage is 0.3-1.5% of additive based upon total formulation.

GARAMITE® -2578 by BYK is a unique rheological additive developed for high solids and baking enamels. It is also suitable for use in high solids and thin film solvent based and 100% solids systems. Compared to fumed silica, it provides improved sag resistance, rheology control and stability. It is also more efficient and easier to handle in manufacturing (less dusty, higher bulk density and not sensitive to shear. Provide higher sag resistance, thermal slump resistance and settling resistance than thixotropes such as fumed silica, organoclays, hydrogenated castors and polyamide waxes. GARAMITE® -2578 exhibits dispersion ease, improved thermal slump resistance, shear stable, syneresis prevention and increased efficiency. Recommended dosage is 5-10% of additive based upon total formulation.

Demonstrates high gelling efficiency, increased viscosity, and higher yield values while preventing pigment agglomeration and settling.
