Anchor Strontium Chromate SR-95 by Anupam Colours is strontium chromate. Acts as an anti-corrosive pigment. It is bright yellow in color. This pigment liberates chromate ions that passivate the metal. It is mainly used for coil coatings. Anchor Strontium Chromate SR-95 is recommended in water-dip primers, epoxy primers used for steel, aluminium (Venetian blinds, Coils) and magnesium (Aircrafts). Anchor Zinc Phosphate ZP-84 by Anupam Colours acts as an anti-corrosive pigment. The microcrystalline phosphate coating effectively retards the corrosion of metal and provides a surface to which paint adheres more strongly than to plain metal. The phosphate coatings retard the spreading of corrosion under the paint film in case the paint is damaged by mechanical action. Used in anti-corrosive primers/marine paint systems/Unicoat paint systems. Anchor Basic Lead Silico Chromate BL-60 by Anupam Colours acts as an anti-corrosive pigment. It is orange in color. It is a composite pigment in which the particles consist of a silica core surrounded by a layer of basic lead chromate. The anti-corrosive action is derived from the basic Lead chromate and the silica core increases its bulking value and lowers the costs. Since it has good color retention and durability, it may be used in finish coats. It can also be used in electro-deposition primers and unicoat paint systems. Anti-corrosive pigment. It is yellow in color. Primers based on zinc yellow are used as first coats in any anti-corrosive painting system. It does not bleed in solvents or oils but has a slight but significant solubility in water. This slight solubility in water contributes to its ability to inhibit corrosion on account of liberation of chromate ions. Also, its zinc oxide component makes it basic in character, which further contributes to corrosion inhibition by reaction with acidic materials in the film. Low solubility type relatively free from soluble chlorides and sulphates is intended for use in the metal primers. Zinc tetroxy chromate. Acts as an anti-corrosive pigment. Imparts very good bonding properties to subsequent coats. As compared to zinc yellow, zinc tetroxy chromate is reactive to a lesser extent with acidic vehicles. It is meant for use in wash/etch primer coatings which offer excellent adhesion to paint systems on non-ferrous metals like tin, aluminium and galvanized iron substrates. Used to manufacture anti-corrosive primer paint systems.
