Formaldehyde-free

Archsol® 8316 by Wanhua Chemical is an anionic styrene acrylic copolymer emulsion for waterproof paints.

• It exhibits excellent mechanical property, alkali resistance and cement compatibility.
• It has low odor and no ammonia neutralizer and is APEO- & formaldehyde-free grade.
• Archsol® 8316 contains <1% sodium hydroxide as neutralizer & 0.014% CMIT:MIT=3:1 and 0.200% MIT as biocide.

Crilat 4825 by Vinavil is a pure acrylic copolymer water-based dispersion. It is APEO-, formaldehyde- and ammonia-free grade. It is non-yellowing, UV crosslinkable and offers excellent elasticity and very good flexibility at low temperatures. It delivers superior waterproofing with very low water absorption.

• It provides excellent crack-bridging protection and good dirt pick-up resistance.
• Crilat 4825 ensures high UV and weathering resistance (benzophenone-free).
• It enables easy formulation and high performance at optimized cost.
• It is compatible with common pigment and extender packages.
• It is suitable for EIFS, high-rise facades, elastomeric wall and exterior masonry coatings.

Reducing Agent TP 1646 by Brüggemann is a newly designed advanced formaldehyde-free reducing agent, based on an organic sulfinic acid derivative with bivalent cations. Can be used in redox systems in combination with all commonly used oxidizing agents. It is odor free and exhibits high stability with a quick decrease of free monomer content. Offers improved properties for resulting latices. Shows excellent performance for the emulsion polymerization of all commonly used systems. It has a shelf life of at least 12 months when stored dry at 25°C. Reducing Agent TP 1646 is applied as a 3-5% solution in water at a pH range of 2-6 with 0.05-0.2% active content on total formulation for post polymerization.

Vinavil 04V by Vinavil is a water-based, vinyl acetate-VEOVA copolymer dispersion. It is free from alkylphenol ethoxylate (APEO), formaldehyde, coalescing agents and plasticizer. It shows high wet scrub resistance, low odor, good rheological behavior and low film sensitiveness to water.

• It offers good alkali resistance and very good compatibility with fillers, pigments & additives.
• It is used in the preparation of paints with medium and high PVC.
• It allows the formulation of low eco-friendly products.
• Recommended for the preparation of interior paints, textured coatings with low-VOC and low-SVOC content.
• It is designed for the formulation of ecological paints in compliance with current regulations, ensuring high performance of the wall paints.
• Vinavil 04V has a shelf life of 6 months.

Parmetol® MBX distributed by DKSH is a highly-effective in-can preservative without formaldehyde and AOX. It is a combination of benzisothiazolone (BIT), methylisothiazolon (MIT) and bis(3-aminopropyl)dodecylamine (BDA). It provides immediate action with long-term protection, specifically designed for fast germ count reduction in contaminated process water.

• It is used in dispersion paints, textured coatings and plasters.
• It contains only biodegradable components.
• The recommended dosage level is 0.10-0.40%.
• Parmetol® MBX has a shelf life of 18 months.
• It is available in Australia, Spain, Philippines and New Zealand.

SETAQUA® ECO 7500 by allnex is a high performance, APEO- and formaldehyde donor- free, water-based acrylic emulsion. It is designed for flexible exterior masonry coatings with excellent water-, efflorescence-, and alkali- resistance.

• It exhibits flexible, tack free films, excellent DPUR (dirt pick up resistance) and rainwater dirt streaking resistance with low water absorption.
• It can be formulated to meet SS500.
• It is used in exterior water-based decorative and construction multi functional water proofing coatings as an alternate for traditional 2k cement based coatings.
• It can be included in millbase to maintain high paint solids when targeting 55% or higher.
• Recommended dosage level is 8.5-11.0% based on polymer solids.
• SETAQUA® ECO 7500 has a shelf life of 180 days.

Parmetol® SBX distributed by DKSH is a production hygiene integrated in-can preservative. It is a synergistic working combination of benzisothiazolone (BIT), sodium pyrithione and bis(3-aminopropyl)dodecylamine (BDA). It offers a broad, balanced spectrum of effect against bacteria, yeasts and molds, even at low use concentrations.

• It has a characteristic odor and is free of chloromethylisothiazolone, formaldehyde, formaldehyde depots and other aldehydes.
• It is fully effective in cationic and non-ionic systems and pH range of 3-11.
• The recommended dosage level is 0.05-0.20% for dispersion paints and printing lacquers, and 0.05-0.15% for textured coatings and plasters.
• Parmetol® SBX has a shelf life of 18 months and is available in Australia, Cambodia, New Zealand, Philippines, Spain and Thailand.

CYMEL® NF 3041 by allnex is a formaldehyde-free, partially n-butylated cross-linking agent supplied in n-butanol. It is designed primarily for use in 2 pack ambient cure solvent-borne conversion varnishes for industrial wood. It offers fast cure response in ambient and heat cure applications.

• Systems containing it exhibit superior catalyzed pot life relative to typical urea-based conversion varnishes and require significantly less catalyst to effect cure.
• The resulting coatings have excellent appearance, early hardness, resistance properties, and hot/cold cycle flexibility.
• CYMEL® NF 3041 shows excellent compatibility with a variety of OH functional resins.
• Recommended for coil primers and back coatings.
• It has a shelf life of 365 days.

VISCOPOL™ 1675 by allnex is an APEO-free, fine particle size, high-performance styrene-acrylic emulsion. It does not contain added formaldehyde or formaldehyde donors. It provides hard, tack-free films with excellent alkali- and water resistance. It shows excellent application properties and improved inter-coat adhesion.

• It is recommended for water-based decorative interior and exterior concrete paints.
• It offers high build, gloss and blister-, chemical- and efflorescence resistance.
• The recommended dosage level is 7.0-9.0% based on polymer solids, and 6% for roof coatings, depending on cure temperatures.
• VISCOPOL™ 1675 has a shelf life of 6 months.

VISCOPOL™ 1662EM by allnex is a fine particle size, high performance styrene acrylic emulsion. It is APEO-, formaldehyde-, or formaldehyde donors- free grade.

• Coatings based on VISCOPOL™ 1662EM exhibit flexible, tack free films with excellent water and alkali resistance.
• It provides high gloss, blister resistance, high build and excellent application properties.
• It is used in water based decorative concrete paints (interior and exterior).
• Recommended dosage level is 4.5-7.0% based on polymer solids & PVC and 3-4% for roof coatings primers.
• It has a shelf life of 6 months at 100°F.
