Flamtard S

Flamtard S by William Blythe is a smoke suppressant and flame retardant synergist designed for flame retardant paints and surface coating. It is used in green, “antimony-free” applications, particularly in the electronics industry. It is thermally stable (no weight loss) at very high temperatures (>400°C). Flamtard S is an environmentally friendly product. At higher temperatures (400-600°C), zinc and tin ions can be volatilized or liberated from their structure to exert catalytic activity. It is part of a family of n-type wide bandgap semiconductors with a high concentration of free electrons in the conduction band, thus leading to high optical transmissions in combination with electrical conductivity.
