Syntex -OB by Synchemer is a 2,5'-bis [2-(5-tert-buty l-2 benzoxazoly)thiophene. It is an optical brightener available in light yellow or milk white powder form. It is insoluble in water and soluble in paraffin, mineral oils and ordinary organic solvents. It is compatible with thermoplastic, PVC, PS, PE, PP, ABS and acetate fibers. Syntex -OB is suitable for coatings and printing inks.
