HEUCOPHOS® ZPO by Sudarshan Chemical Industries is an active multi-level anti-corrosive pigment based on zinc orthophosphate hydrate. It possesses improved pigment structure, particle size distribution and dispersibility.
- The increased water-soluble amount results in a better supply of inhibitive ions over a long time.
- It shows excellent protective behavior in many binder systems, such as alkyd resins and physically drying systems, due to its special organic modification fixed on the particle surface.
- It also provides adhesion promoter function of the organic treatment between metal substrate and organic coating or between inorganic anticorrosive pigment and binder.
- HEUCOPHOS® ZPO is designed for solvent-based coatings based on short- & medium oil alkyds, high solids alkyds, high solids- & 2K epoxies, epoxy esters, silicone resins, and high solids polyurethanes (with low or no VOC).
- It is also used in water-based coatings based on alkyd emulsions, 2K epoxies & polyurethanes (with low or no VOC), 1K polyurethanes, silicone resins, acrylic & modified acrylics, and butadiens.
- It exhibits a higher performance efficiency in comparison to conventional zinc phosphates.
- It is suitable for wash- & shop primers, direct to metal (DTM) coatings, powder coatings and UV cured systems.
