Vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer. It exhibits low viscosity and excellent resistance to alcohol and chemicals (acids, alkalis and brine). Possesses toughness and plasticity. Contains other polar groups that enhance adhesiveness and solubility. It is highly soluble and lacks odor & taste. Forms water resistant, odorless, tasteless and transparent coating films which are fire-retardant and self-extinguishing. Highly compatible with urethane and melamine resins. Suitable for coatings on polyolefin films. Used in transparent epoxy and urethane coatings. Applications include internal coatings of soft-drink cans, moisture-proof cellophane coatings, rotogravure inks, silk-screen inks and top coatings on galvanized color iron plates. Complies with FDA (§ 175.300 and § 175.320).
