CeraSPERSE 174 by Shamrock Technologies acts as a slip control- and rub resistance agent. It is synthetic wax and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) compounded in refined linseed oil. It is manufactured using a controlled crystallization process that allows the production of 1 micron wax dispersion. Its compounds have a translucent appearance with a shiny gloss and a creamy feel. Provides slip (Low COF), clarity, gloss retention and rub resistance properties. It has a soft rheology, and will easily and uniformly disperse in lithographic compositions at any stage of the ink processing. CeraSPERSE 174 can also be used in UV topcoats. Recommended dosage level is 4.0-6.0%. It meets the requirements of 21 CFR 175.105, 175.300, 176.170 and 176.180.
