PU 2123 RMV

PU 2123 RMV by PT. Dover Chemical is a polyurethane resin that features a backbone with repeating -NHCOO units, attributed to the strong polar groups in urethane. It is specially formulated for white ink and can also be used for colored inks.

• It offers excellent adhesion to PET film substrates and strong resistance to yellowing.
• It provides good opacity in white inks and good resoluble property.
• It also provides good glossiness and color strength.
• It has wide compatibility with organic solvents and good solvent release properties.
• It offers good heat resistance, making it suitable for boiling and retort lamination processes.
• It is toluene-free and possesses an aliphatic structure that provides excellent resistance to yellowing and UV stability.
• PU 2123 RMV requires the addition of a curing agent in the printing process when used for anti-retorting laminating inks.
• It significantly enhances durability and film-forming properties.
• It provides excellent adhesion to corona-treated PET film without requiring an adhesion promoter, while for BOPP, PE, and nylon films, the addition of an adhesion promoter is recommended.
• It has demonstrated good compatibility with various resins, showing good affinity and wettability with pigments and dyes, good compatibility with resins such as VC/VAC and NC, and solubility in esters, ketones, and aromatic solvents.
• It is perfectly suited for food packaging and gravure printing ink applications.
• It is a versatile binder designed for one-component and two-component systems, meeting the specific demands of ink formulations.
