PU 2123 RHV by PT. Dover Chemical is a high-performance polyurethane resin known for its repeating –NHCOO structural units, delivering excellent performance. It is specially formulated for solvent-based white gravure printing inks and can also be used for colored inks.
  • It has an aliphatic structure that provides excellent UV stability and anti-yellowing properties.
  • It offers exceptional anti-yellowing performance, crucial for maintaining the brightness and purity of white inks.
  • It provides excellent re-solubility and pigment dispersion for smooth, consistent color performance.
  • It offers heat resistance, making it suitable for boiling and retort lamination processes.
  • Its key attributes include a toluene-free composition that ensures safety and regulatory compliance.
  • PU 2123 RHV requires the addition of a curing agent in the printing process when used for anti-retorting laminating inks.
  • It significantly enhances durability, adhesion, and film-forming properties.
  • It provides excellent adhesion to corona-treated PET film without requiring an adhesion promoter, while for BOPP, PE, and nylon films, the addition of an adhesion promoter is recommended.
  • It has demonstrated good compatibility with various resins, showing strong affinity and wettability with pigments and dyes, good compatibility with resins such as VC/VAC and NC, and solubility in esters, ketones, and aromatic solvents.
