EXOplast OTE4 by PCC Exol is a non-ionic surfactant, humectant and open time extender. It is a specialist product based on a mixture of polyether polyols. It is used to extend the open time of waterborne paints and varnishes. It prevents the paint coating from drying out too quickly and eliminates the risk of defects such as cracks, appearing after the coating is formed. It affects the behavior of the paint during application, making it easier to apply and improving its flow.
  • It strengthens the water resistance of the coating and improves the hydrophobicity.
  • It is safe, highly pure, biodegradable, non-animal tested and is not classified according to Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 [CLP/GHS].
  • It is VOC-free and is particularly suitable for ecological products with very low VOC emissions.
  • It can be used as an alternative to highly volatile agents, such as propylene glycol.
  • It shows very good compatibility with the main paint components, such as polymer dispersions, pigments and auxiliaries.
  • EXOplast OTE4 is designed for use in plasters and decorative paints for interiors and exteriors.
  • The recommended dosage level is 1-10%, depending on the target dyeing product.
