Melafine®

Melafine® by OCI Melamine acts as a flame retardant and blowing agent for intumescent coatings. It is halogen-free and non-flammable 2,4,6-triamino-1,3,5-triazine (>99.8%). It is stable & non-hygroscopic under normal conditions and has medium flowability. It possesses high quality and narrow particle size distribution. Its fine particle size ensures high & consistent performance. During the intumescent process it helps in release of gases which enhance consistent formation and expansion of a rigid carbon matrix that protects the substrate from further heat & damage. Melafine® is suitable for use in thin film coatings for architecturally exposed surfaces.
