Tykote® 6161 by Mallard Creek Polymers is a styrene free, water-based all-acrylic emulsion for functional barrier coatings. It offers good MVTR properties, high oil- & grease resistance both at room and elevated temperatures. It provides excellent water resistance properties leading to low Cobb results. It is heat sealable under certain conditions. It is used in food packaging applications. It can be applied by many coating methods such as rod, blade and flexo and gravure presses. Tykote® 6161 complies with FDA 21 CFR 176.170.
