Tykote® 1005 by Mallard Creek Polymers is a carboxylated styrene-butadiene copolymer emulsion containing low surfactant. It provides high strength, pigment compatibility, superior water and water vapor resistance. It gives rise to blocking resistant coatings. It exhibits excellent mechanical stability. It is designed as a base resin for functional barrier coatings such as moisture vapor. Tykote® 1005 is recommended for paperboard coating.
