Doresco® VMS 7291 by Lubrizol is an acrylic copolymer resin. It is recommended as pre-metallization varnish (about 2 g/m2) and as post-metallization lacquer (around 1 g/m2). It exhibits high gloss, excellent ink retention, and good adhesion to vacuum metallized paper and oxidized aluminium. It also exhibits good transfer of overprinted gravure, providing the resin with good printability, high permeability with alkali and fast drying. Doresco® VMS 7291 is recommended for recyclable beer labels printed with both solvent-based gravure and conventional offset inks. It can be stored for 1 year.
