LAVIOSA ARGIMEL® XD2

LAVIOSA ARGIMEL® XD2 by Laviosa Minerals is a high performing, highly effective rheological additive for solvent-borne systems of moderate to high polarity. It is a highly purified bentonite clay organically modified with a quaternary alkylammonium compound. It gives thixotropic effect, sag control, excellent levelling and prevents pigments from long-term storage settling.

• It shows good performance in aromatics, cello solve, acetates, ketones, glycols, alcohols and resins like epoxies, nitrocellulose, polyacrylates, polyesters, polyurethanes and polyvinyls.
• It is self-activating, simple and convenient to use.
• It provides very high dispersibility, superior anti-settling and anti-sagging properties.
• It is compatible with low polarity binders like alkyds and terpenes, petroleum derivatives and styrene butadiene rubbers.
• It is used in anti-corrosive paints, industrial finishes, anti-fouling paints, printing inks.
• Recommended dosage level is 0.2-0.8% for paints & industrial finishes, 0.5-1.0% for primers & printing inks and upto 3.0% for anti-sagging properties.
• Shelf life of LAVIOSA ARGIMEL® XD2 is 3 years.
