LAVIOSA ARGIMEL® S8

LAVIOSA ARGIMEL® S8 by Laviosa Minerals is a high performing, highly effective rheological additive for low to high polarity solvent-borne paint and coatings. It is a bentonite clay, organically modified with a quaternary alkylammonium compound. It gives thixotropic effect, sag control, excellent levelling and prevents pigments from long-term storage settling.

• It shows good performance in aromatics, cellosolve, acetates, ketones, glycols, alcohols and resins like epoxies, nitrocellulose, polyacrylates, polyesters, polyurethanes and polyvinyls.
• It can be incorporated by direct addition technique and pre-gel technique.
• It provides anti-settling and anti-sagging properties.
• It is used in anti-corrosive paints, automotive primers, industrial finishes, anti-fouling paints, foundry mold paints and printing inks.
• Recommended dosage level is 0.2-0.6% for paints & industrial finishes, 0.5-1.0% for primers & printing inks and upto 3.0% for anti-sagging properties.
• Shelf life of LAVIOSA ARGIMEL® S8 is 3 years.
