UviCure S105 by Lambson (Sartomer) acts as a cationic photoinitiator. It is a low viscosity 7-oxabicyclo[4.1.0]hept-3-ylmethyl 7-oxabicyclo[4.1.0]heptane-3-carboxylate (standard cycloaliphatic epoxy base resin). Cycloaliphatic epoxides will rapidly polymerize in the presence of strong cationic photoinitiators such as Speedcure 992 and Speedcure 976.
- It exhibits low shrinkage, excellent adhesion, high crosslink density, high Tg, no oxygen inhibition, good combination of flexibility and hardness.
- When cured with cationic photoinitiators such as Speedcure 992 or Speedcure 976, it yields clear and glossy coatings.
- UviCure S105 is suitable for metal decoration coatings, overprint varnishes, white base coats, flexographic inks, screen inks, inkjet inks and electrical coatings.
