SpeedBright DP74 by Lambson (Sartomer) is a 7-diethylamino-4-methylcoumarin. Acts as a fluorescent whitener. Exhibits excellent build characteristics and offers high fluorescence & excellent whitening effects at relatively low levels. Possesses Excellent light fastness on protein based substrates compared with bis-(triazinylamino)-stilbene disulphonic whitening agents. It has low toxicity and irritancy. Is stable in formulations at low pH, and its solubility in water is increased under acidic conditions. Shows excellent solubility in most organic solvents and in hydrocarbons. SpeedBright DP74 is particularly suited for fibers such as wool and natural silk. Used in coatings and varnishes.
