Sillitin® Z 89 puriss by Hoffmann Mineral acts as a functional filler. It is a natural combination of corpuscular silica and lamellar kaolinite. It can be used on its own or combined with other extenders or flatting agents. Suitable for solvent-based, water-based & solvent-free systems, primers & fillers (also for automobile industry), varnishes, exterior & interior emulsion-, silicate- & industrial paints, and foil coatings.
  • It is quick-drying and provides slight flatting- & spacer effect in pigments.
  • Sillitin® Z 89 puriss achieves good transparency with a minimal yellow tinge in unpigmented coatings.
  • It possesses high solids content as well as abrasion-, weathering- & scratch-resistance.
  • It offers a high filling ratio, good wet edge strength and breathability.
  • It has pseudoplasticity, soft sediment, moderate yield point, low abrasiveness and low tendency to settle.
  • It is used in solder resist inks, metal-, powder-, plastic-, wood- and film coatings such as exterior topcoats, breathable primers & UV/eximer-curing- coatings.
  • As compared to Sillitin® Z 89, it has extremely low sieving residue, very low coating thickness and meets extremely high requirements on dispersion behavior such as paint production without grinding.
  • It complies with the standards on basic foodstuffs of the BfR and FDA.
  • The recommended metering level is up to 50% depending on the intended application.
