Carbowet® 138

Carbowet® 138 by Evonik acts as an ethoxylated non-ionic surfactant which is typically used alone or in combination with an anionic surfactant. This cost- effective multi-functional additive provides rapid substrate and pigment wetting. It is a clear, low-odor, low-viscosity liquid that is 100% active and features excellent ease-of-use. It has an HLB of 13.9 and can function as an environmentally preferable alternative to certain alkyl phenol ethoxylates based surfactants. It is suitable for water-borne paints and graphic arts applications. Also used for colorants and pigment concentrates. Recommended usage level ranges between 0.5 and 1% of total formulation weight. Carbowet® 138 has a shelf life of 24 months.
