THIXATROL® GST

THIXATROL® GST by Elementis is a non-yellowing, organically modified derivative of castor oil-based rheological additive with inorganic flow control agent. It is suitable for aliphatic and aromatic solvent borne coatings.

• Provides thixotropy and sag control without sacrifice of flow and levelling.
• Offers increased viscosity and contributes to pigment suspension.
• It controls penetration into porous substrates and does not normally react with system components.
• It has no influence on water-resistance of organic systems.
• It'll not adversely affect paint durability.
• Imparts package stability and reproducibility.
• Applications include air drying industrial finishes, anti-fouling paints, decorative coatings, chlorinated rubber paints, traffic paints, high build finishes and hammer finishes.
• It has a shelf life of 4 years from the date of manufacture.
