Masil® SF 19 by DyStar is a low viscosity silicone surfactant. It has a polydimethylsiloxane backbone modified via the chemical attachment of polyoxyalkylene chains. It is compatible with a range of non-ionic, cationic and anionic systems.
  • It exhibits good thermal stability and low volatility.
  • It improves anti-mar and leveling qualities in solvent-borne industrial coatings and inks.
  • It effectively reduces the surface tension of water from 72 to 20 dynes/cm at a usage level of 0.1-1.0%.
  • Masil® SF 19 acts as an effective wetting agent for polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) when used at a level of 0.1-2.0%.
